COVID-19 UPDATE

SHOP SAFER WITH PRICELINE

Recently Updated: 11.00 am, 31st May 2021

As the world begins to explore this ‘new-normal’ way of living, our Priceline and Priceline Pharmacy stores continue to remain open and look after the medicinal, health and beauty needs of customers in our local communities.

With the health and wellbeing of our customers and team members at the forefront of everything we do, we have been working hard to implement new ways of operating to ensure a safe, hygienic environment for everyone.

Our stores have strict hygiene practices that are adhered to everyday, however, we have put in place additional steps to keep team members and customers safe.

  • We’re observing social distancing. We ask that you remain 1.5m away from other shoppers and staff members at all times
  • We’re limiting the maximum capacity of people allowed in our stores at any one time
  • Hand sanitiser is available for use throughout our stores. With some stores offering free sanitiser refills. Check with your local Priceline or Priceline Pharmacy on whether they are currently offering this service.
  • We are thoroughly cleaning our stores before opening, and regularly cleaning and disinfecting throughout the day
  • We are taking all necessary precautions with our testers, this is why you will find some testers are not on display. We ask you during this time to please request assistance from one of our staff or beauty advisors who will assist with handling of the products
  • Our Beauty Services, including ear piercing, are temporarily suspended, however our Beauty Advisors are continuing to assist customers from a safe distance, practicing all measures of hygiene.
  • Our Health Stations are still available and are being thoroughly sanitised after every use
  • We’re offering contactless payment for all transactions

    FAQS

How is Priceline managing the health and safety of its customers and staff?

Priceline places the health and wellbeing of our staff and customers at the forefront of everything that we do. This is why we’ve been working hard to develop plans that ensure the safety of everyone in our stores. Some of the safety initiatives include:

    • Maximum number of people in a store at any one time

    • Hand sanitising stations throughout the store

    • Frequent cleaning of all surfaces

    • Enforcing strict social distancing of 1.5 meters

    • Contactless payment

Can I use cash to pay in-store?

To minimise contact and ensure the safety of our customers and staff members, we would love it if you could please use contactless payment when wrapping up your purchase with us. However, if your only option is to pay cash, we are still accepting this as a payment method.

What if I am unable to use contactless payment?

We’re more than happy for you to insert your bank card if the contactless payment method is not possible.

Am I able to return or exchange my purchase?

We value our customers at Priceline so, if you change your mind, we will refund the purchase price or exchange those products within 30 days of your purchase. View our full Returns and Exchanges policy

How can I ensure that I am adhering to social distancing guidelines at the front counter?

To make things easy for you, please look for the “Please Stand Here” decals placed in front of the registers. These will ensure you are safely distanced from other customers.

What in-store services have been impacted?

To continue limiting physical contact we have temporarily ceased our Beauty Services, including ear piercing. Our trained Beauty Advisors will continue to be available in-store to assist you with any beauty advice you may need, however, it is important that you know that we are practicing all measures of hygiene to keep you and our staff safe.

Our Health Station services continue to be available for use in selected Priceline Pharmacy stores. Please know that our team members are sanitising these stations after every use.

Who can I contact if I have any concerns about visiting a Priceline or Priceline Pharmacy store?

    COVID-19 FAQs

    What is COVID-19?

Coronavirus (COVID-19) is a respiratory illness caused by a new virus first reported in December 2019 in Wuhan City in China.. Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that cause respiratory infections. These can range from the common cold to more serious diseases. Symptoms range from mild flu-like symptoms to pneumonia.

While some people recover easily from the virus, others may get very sick, very quickly. There is evidence that the virus spreads from person to person and as such, it is important to practice good hygiene to help prevent infection.

What are the symptoms of COVID-19 (coronavirus)?

Symptoms can range from mild to severe, and may include:

    • Fever
    • Flu-like symptoms such as coughing, sore throat and fatigue
    • Shortness of breath

What should I do if I’m feeling unwell?

To seek medical help from a doctor or hospital, call ahead of time to book an appointment.

You will be asked to take precautions when you attend for treatment. Follow the instructions you are given.

If you believe you have contracted COVID-19 and you have a face mask wear it to protect others. Stay at least 1.5 metres away from other people. Cover your coughs or sneezes with your elbow.

Please inform your doctor of any symptoms, travel history and recent contact with someone who has confirmed COVID-19.

Your doctor will assess the need for you to be tested for COVID-19 based on their consultation with you.

Should I wear a face mask?

The World Health Organisation suggests face masks are encouraged to be worn in public where social distancing is not possible to help stop the spread of coronavirus amid new scientific evidence it could provide "a barrier for potentially infectious droplets". Please refer to the department of health and the WHO for the most recent recommendations.

    How is COVID-19 treated?

Currently, there is no specific treatment for COVID-19, however most of the symptoms can be treated with proper medical care.

    Vaccination

The COVID-19 Vaccination is now available, and The Australian Government has adopted a phased approach for the COVID-19 vaccination rollout. Which allows for the most at-risk population to be vaccinated first. For more information on the vaccination, and when you will be eligible for the vaccine, click here.

Additionally, while you're waiting for your COVID-19 Vaccine, you can now book in for your flu shot. Getting the flu and COVID-19 at the same time can make you very ill. You can find further information on our Flu Vaccine Clinics here.

How can I protect myself and others from coronavirus?

There are two main ways to protect yourself and others; practicing good hygiene and social distancing.

    Good hygiene includes:

    • Covering your coughs and sneezes with your elbow or a tissue

    • Disposing of tissues properly
    • Washing your hands often with soap and water, including before and after eating and after going to the toilet
    • Using alcohol-based hand sanitisers
    • Cleaning and disinfecting surfaces
    • If you are sick, avoiding contact with others and staying more than 1.5 metres away from people.

    Social distancing

One way to slow the spread of the virus is social distancing, for example:

    • Staying at home when you are unwell
    • Avoiding large public gatherings if they’re not essential
    • Keeping a distance of 1.5 metres between you and other people whenever possible
    • Minimising physical contact, especially with people at higher risk such as older people and people with existing health conditions.
